I chose this field because I always wanted to help people to feel better. My passion in becoming a therapist is to be a source of hope, strength, and empowerment to people as they work on themselves to grow and become the best they can be in order they can enjoy their lives. I feel privileged and honored to be part of their journey.
Desire of becoming a therapist:
This passion of helping people was always there. I traveled all over the world and I met lots of people from different cultures, and I made lots of friends. I was always able to connect with people no matter where they were from without effort. It comes natural to me. People always opened up to me and felt comfortable talking to me, and I was told how easy it was to do so. I still get the same feedback today when I meet with someone who I have not met before. Starting here, I wanted to combine this gift with a solid knowledge to be able to help individuals and couples the best I can. Therefore I decided to study marriage and family therapy. I sincerely love what I do and I am very thankful for having this gift and ability that allows me to connect with and help them.
Services and Specialties
I work with adults 18 years and older :
Here is some of the areas that I work with:
Do you feel like you are stuck and your life is going in circles? You don’t know where to go, and you need to be heard and understood? Are you looking for support for yourself? It is very important to look after your mental health as much as other aspect of health. Feeling depressed, anxious, overwhelmed and other unpleasant emotions and feelings have a negative impact on your relationships whether if it is with yourself, your partner, family, or friends.
Through individual therapy, I will help you identify your unhealthy patterns and replace them with healthier ones. Learning healthier coping mechanisms can serve you the way you wish, and assist you in achieving your goals in life.
Have you ever struggled in your relationship and you wonder what is happening or how to fix it? Have you ever wondered why your partner does not show their love the way you want them to? Partners usually show their love and care in a similar way they want to be treated. However, each person has a different idea about how to receive love and care from others. When it comes to working on improving your relationship, it is very important that partners get to know one another on a deeper level.
During couple therapy, we will work on identifying your negative cycle and the unspoken rules that are not serving the relationship the way both of you want, resulting in having conflicts and issues between the both of you over and over again.
During infertility journey, individuals and couples might experience a variety of unpleasant emotions and feelings such as: loneliness, anxiety, depression, loss, failure, and financial burden. They might also feel not understood and overwhelmed with all the questions asked by friends and family members and they start isolating themselves.
Through therapy, individuals and couples will learn how to cope with those challenges whether they are within themselves, their partners or with other people around them. Together, we will create a plan to deal with your concerns, increase your resilience, and gain better understanding. Also, develop healthier ways to cope and be able to move forward.
Whatever your struggles are, I will be honored to help you and work with you throughout your journey.
